happy new year to you.
2 new pieces are up in the illustration gallery, they are “of the ordinary city” and “a fox through a dark wood”. with the city painting, it was more a divergence from what i normally paint and was an interesting way to explore subject matter that was not more so figurative.
with fox it was taking my same subject matter and pushing it a little farther, it’s not so much anthropomorphic as much of my other work is, but more “real” and yet at the same time holding an air of what might be found in a brothers grimm fable. apparently I need to lighten up a bit.
